2019 PGA Show Begins With Pomp & Patriotism

It’s Show time!

The 66th PGA Merchandise Show began at the Orange County Convention Center, with plenty of pomp, patriotism, appearances by touring professionals and golf personalities, and hundreds of new products from 1,000 leading companies signaling the start to the 2019 golf business cycle.

PGA President Suzy Whaley and CEO Seth Waugh welcomed PGA Professionals and industry leaders to the 2019 PGA Merchandise Show Wednesday morning with a special tribute to PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) and a salute to military veterans in the central lobby of the Orange County Convention Center.

Framed by American flags, Whaley and Waugh will be joined on the red carpet by 2018 PGA Patriot Award recipient and proud member of the North Florida PGA Section Ken Juhn, PGA; PGA HOPE Lead National Trainer Judy Alvarez, PGA; Retired United States Marine Corps Infantry and PGA HOPE North Florida Graduate Corporal Joseph Garrido; Retired U.S. Army 101st Airborne PFC and PGA HOPE North Florida Graduate Jack Wiseman; PGA HOPE Military and Veteran Liaison-Retired U.S. Marine Corps Infantry Corporal Chris Nowak, and PGA HOPE National Program Specialist – and spouse of combat Veteran Army Captain Jason Miller, Laura Miller in demonstrating how PGA HOPE programs can make a profound difference in the lives of military personnel and their families.

Once the 2019 PGA Merchandise Show – The Major of Golf Business – officially opens, PGA Professionals, retailers and industry leaders will flood the nearly 10 miles of aisles and one million square feet of interactive exhibition and demonstration space on the PGA Show floor to source the newest merchandise, take advantage of an expanded PGA Education Conference, featuring more than 50 seminars and classes, test the latest equipment, learn proven business best practices, network among peers and advance the business of golf.
