The idea that golfers aren’t athletes is quickly being erased as players of all ages work to become fitter, faster and stronger. PGA Merchandise Show attendees are taking advantage of the Golf Fitness, Wellness & Instruction Stage – located adjacent to the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) and Life Fitness booths in the 1500 aisle of the PGA Show Floor – to learn more about how they can coach their customers to a healthier life while playing better golf.

“I’m trying to implement more fitness and wellness into our coaching for my students and members, and this is a great resource to learn more about it myself while I’m at the PGA Show,” said PGA Professional John Valliere, the PGA Head Professional at Glynn’s Creek Golf Course in Long Grove, Iowa. “It’s great to get insight from experts and see them explain exactly how they work on fitness with students. It’s an area of the game that’s really evolved, and it’s important to me to embrace it.”

Valliere is one of many PGA Show attendees taking in the programs on the Golf Fitness, Wellness and Instruction Stage this week, pointing out effective presentations on products such as Orange Whip and Viper Golf that he would be using to help his instruction students when he got home.
