Hall of Famers to Headline Presentations on PGA Forum Stage presented by OMEGA

World Golf Hall of Famers Annika Sorenstam, Greg Norman and Nancy Lopez will join PGA President Suzy Whaley in highlighting a variety of presentations on the PGA Forum Stage presented by OMEGA on opening day at the 2019 PGA Merchandise Show Wednesday.

Sorenstam, who amassed 93 worldwide wins and 10 major championships before being elected to the Hall of Fame in 2003, will join Whaley and LPGA Chief Teaching Officer Nancy Henderson to present “The Future of Coaching” to lead off the PGA Forum Stage presented by OMEGA schedule Wednesday at 10 a.m.

“The way we coach is evolving with the use of technology and other contemporary tools,” said Whaley, PGA Director of Instruction at the Country Club at Mirasol, who became the first woman to be elected PGA of America president in November after becoming the first woman to qualify for and compete in a PGA Tour event since Babe Didrikson 50 years earlier when she played in the 2003 Hartford Open.

Whaley will join World Golf Foundation CEO Steve Mona, WE ARE GOLF Women’s Task Force chair Jane Geddes, Founder of Generation W’s Donna Orender, PGA-LPGA Professional Marvol Barnard, who is president of the LPGA T&CP, and Pine Ridge Golf Course (Paris, Texas) Owner Cathy Harbin in a special #inviteHER presentation at 11 a.m. on the PGA Forum Stage presented by OMEGA.

The #inviteHER panel will include industry influencers on both the women’s and men’s side of the game who will come together to discuss the impact and potential of #inviteHER and how its overall success will positively affect all aspects of the golf industry.

Norman, who spent 331 weeks as the world’s No. 1-ranked golfer in the 1980s and 1990s, will host a Sirius XM Town Hall on the PGA Forum Stage at noon Wednesday, followed by a special presentation titled “Leveraging the Game in a Digital Age” anchored by Norman, LPGA standout Mel Reid, Frisbee trick-shot artist Brodie Smith and PGA Tour Digital Director of Production Anne Detflese at 1 p.m.
