The Inventors Spotlight Awards are presented each year at the PGA Merchandise Show to three golf inventions not yet available at retail. These awards, in partnership with the United Inventors Association (UIA) recognize the hard work and dedication given to the process of innovation, and give inventors the opportunity to gauge interest from the golf community.
This year’s winners are:
Most Innovative: Fourball (booth 3497), described as “Tinder for golf,” a mobile app that helps connect golfers to other golfers to meet new people and help facilities reach a greater target market.
Pinnacle Award: Guided Knowledge (booth 3595), which has a wearable device to assist digital coaching and analytics in real-time to create dialogue between coaches and athletes.
Best Marketing: The Media Stick (booth 3495), an accessory to help golfers use their phones to take better photos and videos that fits easily into golf bags.
