Leslie Core-Drevecky: Hold a Mother-Daughter Clinic

Leslie Core-Drevecky, the 2016 Colorado PGA Section Golf Professional of the Year, is the PGA Head Professional at Murphy Creek Golf Course in Aurora, Colorado.

We hold a Mother-Daughter Clinic open to mothers, daughters and grandmothers that is held on a Saturdays from 8:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. The clinic consists of four 45- minute stations, which include golf course etiquette, putting, chipping/pitching and full swing. Following the clinic, lunch is served and we have a drawing to give away donations from all six of our golf courses, including a box set of clubs for both a lucky woman and youth golfer. All participants also get a goodie bag when they check in that includes free range ball passes and discounts in the golf shop.

Last year was our 15th anniversary of the Mother-Daughter Clinic. It’s so popular that it fills up fast to our maximum of 96 participants and has a waiting list every year. The cost is $45 for the first adult and youth golfer under 17 and $15 for each additional youth golfer. We feel it helps us grow the game by getting women and girls into the game of golf, with the built-in camaraderie of a mother and daughter helping to make it a more comfortable environment for all.
