Live Fashion Show Energized PGA Merchandise Show on Thursday Night

The PGA Merchandise Show received a jolt of energy last night as PGA Professionals, buyers and other industry leaders gathered to watch the PGA Show Live Fashion Show on the PGA Forum Stage presented by Omega.

This runway-style event – kicked off by commentary and insight into the latest trends from “What to Where Next” fashion journalists Greg Monteforte and Roberta Miceli – was accompanied by a lively soundtrack of songs with a techno take on rock and pop, and followed by a Happy Hour Recep­tion where attendees could network one-on-one with designers and other brand representatives.

Led by emcee Bailey Mosier of Golf Channel, the dynamic presentation started with Under Armour’s showing of items like a men’s blocked polo knit jacquard with 30+ UPF protection, shorts with extra breathability, and layers meant for brisk mornings, including one combo of 2.0 heathered polo top with quarter-zip pullover. For women, the company focused on femininity and pops of color, featuring a polo with a shorter hem length, modern jogger style pant. and the Flow skort in Optic Purple.

From adidas came a parade of fashion and function, including the men’s gradient sleeve polo with UPF 50+ protection, Ultimate solid tapered pant, and Frostguard wind and water resistant vests for men and women. The company also showed its versatility with a glimpse at the adicross and adipure categories, with a prime knit hoodie half-zip and quilted 40 percent wool hybrid jacket and premium pant, respectively. For women, adidas items included a range wear short-sleeve dress, color block knit skort, sleeveless polo with mock collar, and classic Tour Sport cap.

Deca Del Cosma showed off its fashion-forward Italian shoes, including a men’s model with a white base and red accents with internal bootie system, and a women’s model with breathable insole and changeable shoelaces. This presentation was followed by Greg Norman Collection’s impressive women’s lineup of Formula One racing-inspired print sleeveless dress with mock collar, sun protection quarter zip layering piece paired with floral scroll print pant, and a hooded vest with camo accents. On the men’s side, GNC was all about the Venture print quarter zip paired with Patriot polo and Microluxe shorts, and Glacier printed polo with full-zip Multi-Media vest.

TravisMathew sauntered down the runway with a men’s cotton/poly jacket, all-over print polo, button-up shirt and jacket, and Legacy pant with a very casual weekend look, while Daily Sport showed women’s items like a Magic Skort in Flame Orange, Miracle Short in Black, and biker-style short with leopard polo, leopard accent jacket and matching hat.

Next came Straight Down, which displayed a men’s microfiber soft jersey polo, European five-pocket cotton pant with Lycra, and micro/poly polo in an Ice/White color combo with an accompanying Sage Olive full-zip tech jacket. On the women’s side, attendees were treated to a tank in Robin Blue paired with the lightweight Gem jacket and Emily five-pocket pant with tapered fit, as well as the Nova Jacket in Fiesta Red with Duchess top and Emily full-length tapered pant in White.

Finally, Shop With Golf presented two lines, starting with Bald Head Blues men’s products like classic stripe polo with flexible Navy shorts and alligator belt, as well as a Lavender polo and Grey Boardwalk Flex shorts, and ending with a Linksoul pairing of “Make Par, Not War” tee with breathable, button-down outer layer and Boardwalker short, as well as a short-sleeve button-down shirt coupled with bamboo stretch five-pocket shorts.
