Thursday’s busy PGA Show day will conclude with a live Fashion Show, presented by Polartec, and the Industry Happy Hour and Reception, sponsored by goodr Sunglasses, in the Fashion Lounge of the PGA Show Apparel Hall at the Orange County Convention Center.
The latest and greatest in fall apparel and accessories will be on display at the live Fashion Show, presented by Polartec, on Thursday beginning at 5:45 p.m., and promises a high-energy presentation, giving attendees a composite look at the colors, fabrics and styling trends the industry can expect to see in fall 2020. Preceding and following the Fashion Show, PGA Professionals and golf retailers will enjoy an Industry Happy Hour and Reception, sponsored by goodr Sunglasses, to connect with peers, apparel designers and participating PGA Show manufacturers.
“The Fashion Show is a great way to discover what’s trending for the upcoming season,” says Mark Thush, PGA Director of Retail at Desert Mountain Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. “The participating vendors want to make a statement and show you what they believe in. I’ll use the Fashion Show to educate myself, and to get a preview of certain brands I may not be as familiar with.”
“We are participating in the Fashion Show because we wanted to gain awareness with country clubs that may have never had a chance to see our product before,” says Katherine Way, owner of Katherine Way, a women’s apparel company. “Our colors are so vibrant and fun to wear on and off the golf course, and we hope that by participating in the Fashion Show, we will have a few potential customers come check us out.”
Golf fashion favorite and Golf Channel writer/reporter Bailey Mosier returns to emcee the event, whose featured companies include Bella Bella Sports, Bonobos, Cobra Puma, IFGfit, JDX, Katherine Way, Lucky in Love, Movetes, Oliver Thomas, Polartec, TravisMathew and UBU Clothing.
Following the fashion show is an Industry Happy Hour, sponsored by goodr Sunglasses, where PGA Professionals, golf retailers and other industry leaders can connect with peers, apparel designers and participating manufacturers.
The live Fashion Show’s new location, the Fashion Lounge, is located between the Apparel section of the PGA Show Floor and the Racquet & Paddle Sports Show.
