PGA Forum Stage presented by OMEGA to Host Variety of Panel Discussions, Presentations

The PGA of America is teaming with golf’s leading organizations, the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee, NFL players and coaches, and top PGA instructors and coaches to deliver panel discussions, presentations and award ceremonies Wednesday through Friday at the PGA Forum Stage presented by OMEGA, located on the PGA Show floor near the Equipment Test Center.

The PGA Forum Stage presented by OMEGA has become the heartbeat of the PGA Merchandise Show — The MAJOR of Golf Business — with a variety of timely topics and informative panel discussions focusing on golf-industry trends, issues and accomplishments.

Presentations begin Wednesday at 10 a.m., with PGA of America President Suzy Whaley reviewing the historic experience of inaugural U.S. Women’s PGA Cup Team. Team USA members Joanna Coe, Ashley Grier, Seul-Ki Park and Alison Curdt, all PGA Professionals at clubs in the United States, will join moderator Charlie Rymer and U.S. Captain Whaley in discussing the first U.S. Women’s PGA Cup Team.

Another Wednesday highlight comes at 2 p.m., when representatives from the PGA, U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee and U.S. Tennis Association discuss “Developing a New Generation of Athletes” using the American Development Model (ADM). The panelists include Ted Logan, Director of Coaching & Player Development, PGA of America; Chris Snyder, Director of Coaching, USOC; Craig Morris, CEO of Community Tennis, USTA; and Dr. Steve Norris, a leading expert on long-term athlete development and the ADM Model.

Thursday presentations on the PGA Forum Stage presented by OMEGA are headlined by the State of the Industry address with the PGA of America, USGA, NGCOA and the GCSAA; the NFL Player Business Entrepreneurship Panel headlined by Ron Jaworski and Thurman Thomas; and a Golf Travel Forum, presented by PGA Magazine, which includes a chance to win a golf trip for two to Morocco for an audience member.  Additionally, junior golf, PGA Professional best practices and golf career sessions will be presented.

Friday’s programs will focus on coaching golf students with NFL Coach Jim Caldwell sharing insights to motivating athletes at all levels, followed by a panel of college golf coaches speaking to mentoring junior players in preparation for collegiate competition.

Multiple programs on the PGA Forum Stage presented by OMEGA will be live or recorded for SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio, channels Sirius 208 and XM 92.
