What is the easiest and quickest way to see hundreds of new products from companies large and small at the PGA Show this week? Visit the New Product Zone, which showcases a variety of new products – from apparel to the latest golf equipment, to accessories and the newest innovations in golf cars, training aids, rangefinders and even food & beverage items made specifically for golfers.
Located in the 4300 aisle on the expansive PGA Show floor, the New Product Zone presented by The Net Return is one of the most popular stops at the PGA Show each year. According to PGA Golf Exhibitions, which manages the PGA Show in partnership with the PGA of America, 87 percent of all attendees visit the New Product Zone each year during the three days of exhibits at the Orange County Convention Center.
“Before we get going with all of our appointments at various booths at the PGA Show, we stop by the New Product Zone with a notebook to see what’s new,” says Trevor Fox, PGA of America Director of Golf at Golf Club at Black Rock in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. “It’s almost impossible to stop by every booth at the PGA Show, but you can get a feel for what’s new and what we might be interested in at the New Product Zone.
“When we see something we like, we write down the product, the name of the company and the booth number. Then we stop by that booth to learn more about that product and possibly place an order later in the day or later in the week.”
Companies displaying their products in the New Product Zone will be competing for the “Best New Product” Award in several categories. A panel of award-winning PGA of America Professionals and top golf buyers vote for the three best new products among the merchandise displayed in the PGA Show New Product Zone. Judging criteria includes aesthetics, uniqueness, fills a consumer need and packaging/merchandising support.
