Products and Services Companies are Showing Off Innovative Products

In 1969, Jack and Mavis Gaffney began a modest company in their two-car garage in Phoenix, Arizona. Jack, a firefighter by trade, was an avid golfer and wanted to create a durable headcover for his golf clubs that would protect his driver and fairway woods, not fly off as you drove in a motorized cart, and was good looking.

That company, Arizona Manufacturing & Embroidery (AM&E) is celebrating its 50th year in business this week at the PGA Merchandise Show and anchoring hundreds of companies in the Products and Services category on the PGA Show floor.

Hundreds of companies are showing off an array of fresh, innovative products this week in the Products & Service category on the PGA Show floor.

Randy and Travis Gaffney, founder Jack’s brother and son, run AM&E today with input from Jack Gaffney. Their innovative headcovers have become industry standards, especially for putters, but also for drivers, fairway woods and hybrids. All AM&E headcovers, including the long list of headcovers found on Scotty Cameron putters, are made in the USA with an emphasis on quality.

“We’ve always taken great pride in our quality, service and innovation,” said Randy Gaffney, who credits Travis Gaffney with many of the company’s revolutionary headcovers, such as the Snap-Fit putter cover in 2012 and the Yankee Head Cover in 2016, a premium product for the golfer who appreciates the look and feel of handcrafted genuine leather.

AM&E is a prime example of the innovative companies exhibiting in the Products & Services category at the 2019 PGA Merchandise Show.

AfterShokz (booth 1755) is showing off its bone-conduction headphones for listening to music or making a phone call that slide onto your face instead of into your ears, leaving your eardrums open for normal hearing.

Chippo Golf (booth 3401) is showing off its latest game that combines golf and traditional backyard games such as cornhole. Promoted as “the only game where you can work over your buddies while working on your short game,” Chippo has become a favorite game for all demographics.
