Thursday Night Fashion Show Give Attendees a Look at Leading Fall Lines

Beautiful, updated fall colors, fashion forward lifestyle pieces and wildly diverse prints were some of the themes on full display Thursday night at the 2020 Fashion Show, held in the Fashion Lounge of the PGA Show Apparel Hall.

A mix of apparel vendors – some established, others new to the U.S. golf arena – gave attendees a look at their top fall styles during the runway style event, presented by Polartec and emceed by golf fashion expert and media personality Bailey Mosier. A pre-event Happy Hour and a post-show reception were sponsored by goodr Sunglasses, which gave away a limited number of sunglasses to guests who arrived early.

“I like to attend the fashion shows, where I’ve found a few brands in the past that are now in my shop, including Tory Burch and Anatomie,” said Patrick Casey, PGA Director of Golf at Brentwood Country Club of Los Angeles. “My purpose in coming this year is to find a new, exciting women’s line that is both functional and fashionable.”

Fashion Show sponsor Polartec showed a variety of technical pieces for men and women, including one standout black jacket punched up with aqua colored zippers, back yolk and sleeve panels. Also among this year’s men’s apparel participants was Bonobos, which featured a variety of floral printed shirts in blues, pinks, greens and navies, while TravisMathew – whose outfits were accompanied by Cuater shoes by TravisMathew – displayed combinations of white polo with gray shorts, gray polo with black shorts, gray button-down with jeans, and light blue quarter zip with black slacks.

On the women’s side, Lucky in Love showed a black sleeveless top with printed skort and blue solid skort with sleeveless printed top, while Movetes paired a light gray skirt with vertical red side stripe and red sweater with JOUER in large letters across the front, one of the standout outfits of the evening.

At the same time, UBU turned heads with three-quarter and full-length jackets – both solid and printed – over long tops and leggings, and Daily Sports models wore trim fit capris and pants with tailored jackets in combinations of navy, khaki and white. In addition, Katherine Way featured a pair of impressive blue and white and pink and white large print dresses,  while Bella Bella Sports included one particularly eye-catching outfit of a floral red and blue skort with the same floral print inside the hood of a white full-zip  jacket and on the side panels of an accompanying hat.

JDX, debuting its line in the U.S. at this year’s PGA Show, presented eye-catching red pants paired with a white tee and navy jacket, as well as a performance plaid pant/white polo/blue quilted full zip vest combo for men. On the women’s side, the brand showed sleek aqua pants with a preppy dark blue polo with pink snap closure, as well as navy pants with a pink long-sleeve polo and white puffy jacket.

Additionally, attendees saw a variety of customizable bags and other accessories from Oliver Thomas and FH Wadsworth; fun, affordable sunglasses from goodr; and posture-improving compression type shorts and other athletic styles for men and women from IFG Fit.

“I love coming to the fashion show so I can find new brands I haven’t had a chance to see before,” said Jennifer Roddy, AGM, Buyer/Merchandiser at Wolfdancer Golf Club in Lost Pines, Texas.  “I’ll be checking out a few of these tomorrow on the Show floor.”
