A new pavilion featuring more than 70 exhibitors made its successful debut Wednesday on the PGA Show floor.
The Clubhouse, focusing on enhancements to clubhouse facilities and non-golf amenities at golf clubs worldwide, provides PGA Show attendees with an ambitious schedule of presentations and education programs on the Clubhouse Stage, pickleball court demonstrations, and insight into enhancements such as fitness centers, practice areas, and even bowling alleys.
The Clubhouse Stage features a full schedule of industry programming from brand executives and experts representing leading golf organizations such as the PGA of America, National Golf Course Owners Association, United States Golf Association, Golf Course Superintendents Association, LPGA and more.
The Clubhouse Pavilion also features two pickleball courts, one for open product testing and one reserved for exhibitor demonstrations and special events. Selkirk is offering pickleball programming to include exhibition matches, clinics, and beat the pro events with various professional pickleball athletes and special guests on Wednesday and Thursday.
Catherine Parenteau, who captured 18 wins in 2023 and is currently the No. 2-ranked women’s professional pickleball player in the world, will join James Ignatowich and Pablo Tellez, both ranked in the men’s top 10 in the world, to provide exhibition matches and clinics sponsored by Selkirk during three sessions Thursday at 10-11 a.m.; 11:30-12:30; and 2:30-3:30 p.m.
Additional pickleball exhibition participants include Top 50 all-time NBA player Rick Barry, who is both an avid golfer and pickleball player; LPGA Major Champion and four-time Team USA Solheim Cup winner Sherri Steinhauer; and 1977 Wimbledon Doubles champion JoAnne Russell.
Skechers is utilizing the pickleball courts for the Skechers’ Pickleball Skills Challenge from 1-2 p.m. on Thursday.
Selkirk Sport and Skechers are among numerous companies that support the construction of pickleball courts and pickleball programs at golf facilities worldwide.
“Selkirk is fully committed to supporting the growth of pickleball across all business sectors, and our expanded presence at the PGA Show validates the fact that the intersection of golf and pickleball continues to grow stronger,” said Mike Barnes, co-founder and co-CEO of Selkirk Sport.
