Innovation District on PGA Show floor includes New Product Zone, Inventor’s Spotlight

What is one of the top priorities golf industry professionals cite for attending the PGA Show each year at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando?

New products and innovations. The latest, greatest golf products in all industry sectors.

To create even easier access to new products and innovations at the 2025 PGA Show this week, the popular New Product Zone and Inventor’s Spotlight have united to form the Innovation District as a showcase allowing attendees to glimpse the latest new products and be among the first to see new innovations that have not yet come to market in the Inventor’s Spotlight.

“The PGA Show gives us a golden opportunity each January to see what’s new and exciting throughout the golf industry under one extremely large roof,” said Ken Morton Jr., Vice President of Retail & Marketing for Morton Golf in Sacramento, California. “If you want to preview and test what’s new in golf, the PGA Show is the world’s largest marketplace for everything golf. It’s a must-attend every year.”

In surveys conducted at the conclusion of each PGA Show, attendees are nearly unanimous in noting that new products and innovations are a primary reason why they make the pilgrimage to Orlando each January for the PGA Show. In fact, 87 percent of PGA Show attendees stop at the New Product Zone on the PGA Show floor to examine new products and innovations in a single pavilion.

“One of my first stops when the PGA Show opens in the morning is the New Product Zone,” explained Pam Storz, PGA of America Head Golf Professional at The Landings Course at Lake Oconee Golf Club in Georgia. “It’s always time well spent to see all of the new products in one place to give us a feel for what we might need to check out more closely later in the day or later in the week. When we see something we think might fit at our facility, we will make a note of the booth number and stop by that booth later to get more information.”

The New Product Zone at the 2025 PGA Show is featuring more than 100 innovations currently available in the market, while new concepts at the Inventor’s Spotlight in the Innovation District may be best-sellers at golf facilities in a year or two.

“We find new products every year at the PGA Show. In fact, we take a handful of staff members to Orlando to serve as scouts for new products and innovations,” claimed Morton. “Our scouts report back to us during our staff meetings every evening at the PGA Show. We want to be ahead of the game when it comes to new products and trends, so we use the PGA Show as a platform to see everything we possibly can. We don’t want to wait for a new company to come to us in Sacramento. We hit the New Product Zone hard and do our due diligence, so we have the products in our shops for sale when peak season arrives.”

New Product Zone entries will be judged by a panel of award-winning PGA of America Golf Professionals and influential golf buyers to award three overall “Best New Product” Award winners on Thursday (Jan. 23) at 2:30 p.m.

Organized in partnership with the United Inventors Association (UIA), the Inventor’s Spotlight pavilion features groundbreaking inventions and concepts that are not yet on the market. With some 50 exhibits featuring independent inventors, this at-capacity exhibit area serves as a launchpad for innovation in golf. Additionally, the UIA provides invaluable programming and complimentary one-on-one counseling sessions led by UIA experts to guide inventors through the process of development, patenting, production, and distribution.

UIA industry experts will present top inventions with one of three awards – Best Marketing, Best Innovation and Best in Show – on Thursday at 2:15 p.m. at the Innovation District.
