PGA of America Golf Professionals, industry professionals and all attendees will celebrate the 10th anniversary of PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) while saluting Veterans and active-duty military personnel with a variety of special events Thursday during PGA HOPE Day at the PGA Show.
PGA HOPE, the flagship military program of PGA REACH, will be center stage throughout Thursday, with a leaderboard of programs and events dedicated to enhancing awareness of PGA HOPE programs and increasing participation in the PGA of America’s flagship rehabilitative golf program for Veterans and active-duty military.
PGA HOPE, flagship military program of the PGA of America REACH Foundation, the charitable foundation of the PGA of America, introduces golf to Veterans and active-duty military personnel to enhance their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being. In 2024, more than 17,000 Veterans were served in more than 550 programs located in all 50 states hosted by PGA of America Golf Professionals. More than 50,000 Veterans have been impacted by PGA HOPE since the program’s inception in 2015.
“PGA HOPE is not only changing lives, but saving lives,” said PGA of America President Don Rea Jr., PGA Master Professional and Owner/Operator of Augusta Ranch Golf Club in Arizona. “I’m grateful for our PGA of America Golf Professionals who are certified and implore our entire membership to make it a priority. The impact PGA HOPE has on local communities across the country, and more importantly the lives of our Veterans, is one of the most meaningful things we do. I’m delighted to see PGA HOPE in the spotlight once again at the PGA Show.”
PGA HOPE Day is dedicated to recognizing the PGA of America Golf Professionals who make PGA HOPE’s mission possible and to celebrate the program’s success with the golf industry. Participating PGA of America Golf Professionals are trained in adaptive golf and military cultural competency.
PGA HOPE Day at the 2025 PGA Show will include a PGA Show Sweepstakes for a chance to win a one-of-a-kind USA Ryder Cup Captains Golf Car from Club Car; thank-you gifts to all PGA HOPE Certified PGA of America Golf Professionals; and PGA HOPE Veteran Ambassadors engaging with PGA Show attendees throughout the day on the PGA Show Floor. PGA HOPE program hosts and ambassadors will also be introduced Thursday evening at the PGA Show Winter Jam featuring THIRD EYE BLIND supported by adidas and Corebridge Financial, with benefits from the concert going to PGA HOPE and the PGA REACH Foundation.
The PGA Show Sweepstakes, managed by U.S. Sweepstakes & Fulfillment Co. and open until Jan. 24, offers PGA Show attendees and the public a chance to win a one-of-a-kind USA Ryder Cup Captains Golf Car from Club Car. Proceeds from the sweepstakes will directly benefit PGA HOPE. Every $330 raised will support a Veteran or Active Duty service member to experience the life-changing and life-saving effects of golf through PGA HOPE. A donation is not required to enter the sweepstakes.
The PGA HOPE booth, located in the PGA of America Hub directly inside the main entrance of the PGA Show floor, is celebrating the 10-year anniversary with a Wall of Fame honoring the names of the more than 1,500 certified PGA of America Golf Professionals who instructed HOPE programming in 2024.
PGA of America Golf Professionals who instruct in PGA HOPE are encouraged to visit the booth to receive a special thank-you gift. Association Members interested in serving PGA HOPE’s mission are encouraged to meet with staff and Ambassadors onsite for more information.
