PGA Show Demo Day to include fresh features, testing opportunities from 70-plus companies

Always evolving and improving, the 2024 PGA Show Demo Day will feature several enhancements while kicking off PGA Show Week on Tuesday on Orange County National Golf Center’s 42-acre practice facility.

Thousands of PGA Golf Professionals and PGA Show attendees will enjoy the opportunity for hands-on testing and evaluation of the latest equipment and technology from more than 70 leading golf companies during Demo Day, which is reserved for PGA Professionals and media from 9 a.m. until noon on Tuesday, and continues from noon to 5 p.m. for all industry professionals registered for the PGA Show.

The 21st edition of the PGA Show Demo Day — presented by Clubhouse Events, E-Z-GO, FlagD, Golfforever, Oakley, Uneekor and Wittek Golf Supply — will feature a new layout of companies on the vast, circular driving range at Orange County National, with multiple practice greens and short-game testing areas; a Discovery Zone vendor village; a Demo Day Test Track for golf cart and vehicle testing; a Demo Day stage for special industry presentations; and enhanced programming from the Golf Range Association of America. A central food court featuring food trucks and live music by Spencer Ludwig, Latin Grammy Award trumpeter, songwriter, producer and DJ, also will spice up the 2024 PGA Show Demo Day.

Produced in partnership by PGA Golf Exhibitions and PGA Magazine, the world’s largest professional outdoor Demo Day also will feature product education, insights from equipment designers, coaching workshops, club fitting presentations and programming on best practices in range operations. Several celebrities, top PGA of America Coaches and PGA Tour professionals will be on site to conduct live demonstrations.

Leading companies such as Bridgestone Golf, Callaway Golf, Cobra Golf, FlightScope, Full Swing Golf, LA Golf, Mizuno, Ping, Srixon/Cleveland Golf, Toptracer, Titleist, U.S. Kids Golf, XXIO, Yonex and many others will offer opportunities to test and discuss features of their latest products with company representatives.

Numerous PGA of America Master Professionals will share their expertise with PGA Show Demo Day attendees on Tee 3 (the exhibition tee) at Orange County National Golf Center.

PGA Master Professional Joe Plecker will begin the educational workshops at 9:30 a.m. with “Live Lessons With Joe Plecker,” an interactive presentation focusing on coaching golfers of all skill levels. Joe Hallett, the 2024 National PGA Teacher-Coach of the Year, will present “Match Play Practice for Stroke Play Success – Using the Hidden Keys to Match Play to Improve Your Stroke Play Performance” from 11 a.m.-noon.

PGA Master Professional Tim Cusick, a member of the PGA Education Faculty at PGA Frisco in Frisco, Texas, will present “A Guide to a Golfer’s Improvement” on Tee 3 at 12:30 p.m. Cusick will share five key phrases that explain and lead to improvement in coaching by PGA Professionals and instructors, which will help students understand instruction and play the game better.

Bernie Najar, PGA Master Professional and Director of Instruction at Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Maryland, closes the PGA Show Demo Day workshops from 2 p.m.-3 p.m. with a special presentation titled “Coaching Competitive Juniors.” A three-time Middle Atlantic PGA Section Teacher of the Year, Najar coached Kyle Berkshire to the 2019 and 2021 World Long Drive Championships and specializes in helping students hit the ball longer.

PGA Golf Professionals and attendees can test-drive the latest golf cars on the PGA Show Demo Day Test Track, while Clubhouse Events Group, E-Z-GO, FlagD, Golfforever, Oakley, Uneekor and Wittek Golf Supply are serving as presenting sponsors of the daylong event. Shade Headwear (headwear), and Flightscope (bag sponsor) are also product partners.

Touring professionals and celebrities representing prominent companies will again be in attendance at the PGA Show Demo Day.

Short-game guru and Titleist Brand Ambassador Brad Faxon, an eight-time winner on the PGA TOUR, will join Vokey Design Director of Marketing Corey Gerrard to introduce the new line of Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges during an interactive demonstration from 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. adjacent to the Titleist hitting bays at Orange County National Golf Center.

Former LPGA Tour player and model Blair O’Neal, 11-time LPGA Tour winner and Solheim Cup competitor Lexi Thompson, and two-time World Long Drive champion Kyle Berkshire will headline presentations and speak about new Cobra Puma products throughout the day at the large Cobra Puma compound at Demo Day. Attendees are strongly encouraged to pick up their event badges and ride the free shuttles (every 15 minutes) from the Orange County Convention Center for easy access to and from the two PGA Show Demo Day entrance gates at Orange County National Golf Center.
