Tuesday’s PGA Show Demo Day at Orange County National Golf Center in Winter Garden, Florida, will be enhanced by a series of coaching workshops, plus a focus on health & wellness and club fitting.
PGA of America Coaching Workshops return to the Tee No. 3 outdoor classroom at the Orange County National range as part of the PGA Show Education program, with an all-star lineup of PGA Master Professionals sharing their expertise. PGA Golf Professionals can earn up to five PDR credits for workshops participation and event attendance.
The PGA workshops begin at 9:30 a.m. on Tee No. 3 with PGA Master Professional Joe Hallett, the 2024 PGA of America Teacher and Coach of the Year, and PGA Director of Instruction at Vanderbilt Legends Club in Tennessee presenting “Match Play Practice for Stroke Play Success.” At 11 a.m., PGA Master Professional Joe Plecker, PGA Director of Instruction at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club in Savannah, Georgia, presents “Live Lessons with PGA Master Professional Joe Plecker.”
Todd Sones, PGA Master Professional and owner of Impact Golf, leads off the afternoon workshops at Demo Day Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. with “Control the Low Point for Solid Pitching and Chipping,” while PGA and LPGA Master Professional Dr. Alison Curdt, Director of Instruction at Wood Ranch Golf Club in California, presents “Applied Golf Psychology Tools for Building a Better Mental Game” at 2 p.m.
The PGA Club Fitting Center will feature leading PGA of America club fitting experts at the “Club Fitting Genius Bar” to share best practices on ball and club fitting with practical applications demonstrated at dedicated hitting bays.
The Golf Fitness Association of America will present complimentary health and wellness sessions to enhance and extend the golfer’s overall well-being and performance at the Health & Wellness Center Outdoor Stage, Tee No. 7, at the PGA Show Demo Day.
The fitness, health and wellness presentations kick off at 10 a.m. with “Share Your Journey” featuring Jeehae Lee, Founder & CEO, Sportsbox AI; LPGA Tour Veteran Andrea Doddato, Founder, Shape and Sport, Golf Digest Top Fitness Professional; and GFAA Industry Leader Suzy Whaley, PGA Master Professional and President of Golf Nation, who is an LPGA Tour veteran and former PGA of America Past President (2018–20).
At 10:45 a.m. on Tee No. 7, Dr. Gary Gray, CEO & CCO, of the Gray Institute, will team with Dr. David Tiberio, Dean of the Gray Institute, to present “3D Functional Movement and Functional Golf Coach Certification.” At 11:30 a.m., “The Journey to Increasing Clubhead Speed” will be the topic covered by Gavin Parker, PGA, CEO, Jr. Golf, who is listed among Golf Digest’s Best Young Teachers.
LPGA veteran Jeehae Lee, Founder & CEO of Sportsbox AI, will offer a fascinating presentation titled “How Champions Use Data: Bryson DeChambeau Case Study” at 1 p.m., while “Golf and Fitness after Fifty: Exercises and Drills to Maintain Distance and Stamina” by Randy Chang, PGA, Founder, Randy Chang Golf School, will be the day’s final fitness-wellness presentation at 2 p.m.
