  • The 67th PGA Merchandise Show begins today with a special opening ceremony at 8:15 a.m., when PGA President Suzy Whaley and CEO Seth Waugh will be joined by the U.S. Men’s and Women’s victorious PGA Cup Teams to celebrate each squad’s historic accomplishment. The B.B. King All-Star Band will also perform beginning at 7:30 a.m. and during the ceremony, which will take place in the central lobby of the Orange County Convention Center. Exhibit hall doors open at 8:30 a.m.
  • Not long after the opening festivities, Titleist’s annual presentation – from 8:45-9:15 a.m. in the Linda W. Chapin Theater (third floor) – will feature “A Tribute to Partnership,” CBS Sports’ Jim Nantz will talk with 2019 PGA Golf Professional of the Year Eric Eshleman and Dr. Condoleeza Rice, the 66th U.S. Secretary of State and a student of Eshleman’s at the Country Club of Birmingham (Alabama). All PGA Show attendees are invited.
  • Schedule some time today to visit the PGA Forum Stage presented by OMEGA. The first of eight presentations will start at 10 a.m. when Whaley is joined by the winning Women’s PGA Cup Team members and moderator Charlie Rymer, PGA, for the “Experience of the Inaugural U.S. Women’s PGA Cup Team” presentation.   • One of the more fascinating featured areas on the PGA Show floor is the Inventor’s Spotlight, sponsored by the United Inventors Association (UIA), located in the back of aisles #4300–4500. It’s a specialty area designed for inventors to gauge interest from the golf community regarding an innovative new product or service not in the marketplace. Today at 1 p.m., three companies will be recognized with a Best Marketing award, Most Innovative Concept award and Pinnacle Award (Best in Show). The awards highlight the hard work and dedication given to the process of innovation.
  • The Golf Fitness, Wellness & Instruction area of the PGA Show floor, presented in partnership with TPI, will feature a full schedule of 23 complimentary education sessions starting this morning through Friday in the #1500 aisle. At 9:15 a.m. today, PGA Professional Bob Ford and Dr. Holly S. Andersen will kick things off in their presentation “Making Your Club Heart Safe with Hands-Only CPR.” For more on their presentation, and a full schedule, click here.
